Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident at Fort Lauderdale, Florida
On December 6, 2017, the Airbus A321 231 aircraft (registration N670NK), operated by Spirit Airlines, was involved in an accident at Fort Lauderdale, Florida (United States), leaving 2 injured. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 6 December 2017, at about 22:07, Spirit Airlines flight 265 — an Airbus A321-231 (N670NK) on the Atlantic City–Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Florida, route — met severe turbulence during the approach. Shortly after entering instrument conditions, descending through about 12,000 feet and with no turbulence reported in the area, the aircraft met the jolt with the seatbelt sign already on. All five flight attendants, who were doing their final cabin checks, were thrown to the floor; one of them injured an ankle and stayed lying down for the rest of the flight. After landing, all five were taken to hospital, and the injured flight attendant was diagnosed with fractures of the medial and posterior malleoli. The aircraft was undamaged. What happened
The COVID-19 pandemic brought much of world aviation to a halt in 2020: as demand collapsed, thousands of aircraft sat parked for weeks or months. The extent and the dates varied a great deal from country to country and from airline to airline. This record is based on evidence FOR THIS AIRCRAFT (documented parking and gaps in its flight logbook). Source: BTS (United States Department of Transportation).

Accident at Las Vegas, Nevada
On September 30, 2025, the Airbus A321 aircraft (registration N670NK), operated by Spirit Airlines, was involved in an accident at Las Vegas, Nevada (United States), leaving 2 injured. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
Spirit Airlines flight 2045 flew through turbulence during the descent into Harry Reid airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, with two flight attendants injured while preparing the cabin for landing. Flying the CHOWW4 arrival, the crew could see cumulus on their route but got no returns on the radar or the tablet weather application, and there were no pilot reports; they decided to seat the cabin crew and passengers early. At around 22,000 feet they switched on the seatbelt sign. Descending through 17,000 feet the aircraft penetrated a cloud and met about 3 seconds of turbulence. A flight attendant who was in the aft lavatory, having heard the announcement indistinctly, fell to the floor and could not get up; she was taken to hospital with a fractured ankle. Another flight attendant also fell, with minor injuries. Source: the NTSB (United States).
