Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Incident at Baton Rouge, Louisiana
On September 1, 2011, the Bombardier Inc Cl-600-2B19 aircraft (registration N875AS), operated by Delta Connection, was involved in an incident at Baton Rouge, Louisiana (United States). Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 1 September 2011, while configuring the aircraft to land, the crew saw a gear «disagree» message and an indication that the left main gear was not down and locked. They followed the procedures, but could not extend it. The captain declared an emergency and landed on the right main and nose gear alone; the aircraft came to rest in a normal attitude, leaning with the left wing down. The examination revealed that the upper attachment bolt of the left gear uplock assembly was attached only to the structure, and not also to the uplock mechanism as it should have been. That assembly had been removed and refitted the day before the flight. Neither the mechanic who did the work nor the inspector who checked it had training or experience in that task, so it was probably installed incorrectly. Source: the NTSB (United States).
