Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident at Charlotte, North Carolina
On June 28, 2008, the Bombardier, Inc. Cl-600-2C10 aircraft (registration N725PS), operated by PSA Airlines, was involved in an accident at Charlotte, North Carolina (United States). Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 28 June 2008, a CRJ 200 had finished its pushback and was awaiting taxi clearance when, from an adjacent gate, a CRJ 700 was being pushed back with a wing walker posted at the left wing. The wing walker knew the CRJ 200 was there and believed the tow would only go back about 10 feet; on seeing the tug continue past that distance, he signalled the driver to stop. Several witnesses saw the wing walker signalling to stop while the tug carried on. The tail of the CRJ 700 struck the tail of the CRJ 200 and both aircraft suffered structural damage to the empennage. Because of lightning in the vicinity of the airport, ground staff were not using communication headsets. Source: the NTSB (United States).
