Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 8 October 2021, in cruise flight, a passenger aircraft met convective turbulence at flight level 320 (about 32,000 feet). It was a dark, moonless night, with scattered thunderstorms visible on the radar, but the crew detected no returns on their track. A convective SIGMET was in force forecasting cloud tops to FL320. While the cabin crew were carrying out the drinks service, the aircraft unexpectedly entered a cloud and met moderate to near-severe turbulence. A flight attendant fell and fractured an ankle.
