Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Incident at Kansas, Illinois
On November 29, 2016, the Bombardier Inc Cl 600 2C10 aircraft (registration N367CA), operated by GoJet Airlines, was involved in an incident at Kansas, Illinois (United States). Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
The number 1 engine of a GoJet Airlines aircraft suffered a catastrophic failure when a high pressure turbine stage 2 blade separated. The fragment damaged the nozzles and the other blades of that stage and all four low pressure turbine stages. Metallurgical analysis concluded that the first blade to break failed from a high-cycle fatigue crack originating at an area of corrosion on its convex face; six others broke through similar cracks that went into overload after the impact, and the rest failed on being struck. The corroded areas contained sulphur, sodium, potassium and phosphorus, common corrosive elements whose origin could not be identified. As for water washing, GoJet did it every 1,200 flight hours or when degradation was detected, while General Electric recommended every 1,600 hours or so and was preparing a bulletin to extend it to 2,000 hours. Parked due to COVID-19
In April 2020, the CL-600-2C10 aircraft (registration N367CA), operated by Delta Air Lines, was parked. Source: BTS.
What happened
The COVID-19 pandemic brought much of world aviation to a halt in 2020: as demand collapsed, thousands of aircraft sat parked for weeks or months. The extent and the dates varied a great deal from country to country and from airline to airline. This record is based on evidence FOR THIS AIRCRAFT (documented parking and gaps in its flight logbook). Source: BTS (United States Department of Transportation).
