Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident at Minneapolis, Minnesota
On November 15, 2010, the Embraer Erj 170-200 Lr aircraft (registration N604CZ), operated by Delta Air Lines, was involved in an accident at Minneapolis, Minnesota (United States). Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 15 November 2010, shortly after take-off, while climbing through 5,000 feet above sea level, a regional jet struck a flock of large birds. Although the crew observed no anomalies in the flight controls or the engines, they chose to return to the departure airport, and the captain flew a visual approach and an uneventful landing. The subsequent inspection revealed significant damage to the radome (the nose radar cover) and its internal structure: the forward pressure bulkhead had a dent and a puncture, and the left engine's compressor section showed damage consistent with a bird strike. What happened
On 18 July 2025, at about 19:48 Central local time, a United States Air Force B-52H (callsign WarBird03), on its way to a flypast over the North Dakota fairground, was involved in a loss of separation some 3 km south of Minot International Airport (MOT) with SkyWest Airlines flight 3788, an Embraer ERJ-170-200 (N604CZ) arriving from Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) for runway 31. Shortly afterwards it had a second loss of separation, a little over 1.5 km west-south-west of MOT, with a Piper PA-28-151 (N41349) flying local circuits. The weather was visual, with wind from 030 at 5 knots, 16 km visibility and clear skies. Minot tower, with a single controller, was working all three aircraft; the flypast had been coordinated in advance with the tower and Dakota RAPCON approach control.
