Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 16 October 2025, at 06:43 Mountain Daylight Time, United Airlines flight 1093, a Boeing 737-8 registered N17327 operating the Denver International Airport (DEN)-Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) route under Part 121, collided in flight with an object near Moab, Utah. In cruise at flight level 360 (36,000 feet), the captain sighted a distant object on the horizon and, before he could warn the first officer, there was a violent impact against the right forward windscreen, with a loud bang and a shower of glass over both pilots. The captain suffered superficial lacerations to his right arm and none of the other 111 occupants, including the first officer, was hurt. Pressurisation remained stable; the crew descended and diverted to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), where they landed without incident on runway 16L via an ILS approach and taxied to the apron under their own power, escorted by the fire service.
