Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 10 May 2012, at 12:24, Frontier Airlines flight 384 — an Airbus A319, registration N951FR — met turbulence during the descent into Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Florida, with a flight attendant seriously injured. It was descending through 12,400 feet, some 72 km west of the airport, going in and out of the typical summer cumulus. The captain had ordered the cabin prepared and everyone seated, but the flight attendants were still standing. On coming out of a cloud, the crew saw a larger developing cumulus directly ahead; the radar showed no returns and they had not activated its turbulence detection function. On penetrating the cloud, the aircraft met convective turbulence with peaks of +2 g and -0.5 g. The crew told ATC of the injury and requested priority and paramedics, but the controller did not pass the request on and there was no response from the company either, which delayed the arrival of medical help. Memories coming soon

The register of memories is not open on this aircraft yet. We are enabling it gradually, record by record, as we consolidate each aircraft's information.

Before opening it we check the aircraft identity — its registration, its serial number and its model — against the civil register of the authority that registered it, so that every memory belongs to the exact aircraft that lived it. When that work reaches this record, the register will open here.
