Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident at Runnells, Iowa
On April 3, 2010, the Embraer Erj 170-100 Se aircraft (registration N869RW), operated by Delta Connection, was involved in an accident at Runnells, Iowa (United States), leaving 1 injured. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 3 April 2010, having been warned by air traffic control of multiple reports of light to moderate turbulence along the route, the crew were in cruise at 31,000 feet when the captain noticed a change in wind direction and speed and asked the flight attendants to sit down. Shortly afterwards, and before they could fasten their seatbelts, the aircraft met moderate turbulence. One of the flight attendants was thrown from her seat and suffered a fractured hip and a head contusion. According to the flight recorder, the maximum and minimum vertical accelerations during the episode were 1.902 g and -0.199 g. The flight continued to its destination without further incident and, on arrival, the medical services took the injured flight attendant to hospital. Source: the NTSB (United States).

What happened
The COVID-19 pandemic brought much of world aviation to a halt in 2020: as demand collapsed, thousands of aircraft sat parked for weeks or months. The extent and the dates varied a great deal from country to country and from airline to airline. This record is based on evidence FOR THIS AIRCRAFT (documented parking and gaps in its flight logbook). Source: BTS (United States Department of Transportation).

Memories coming soon

The register of memories is not open on this aircraft yet. We are enabling it gradually, record by record, as we consolidate each aircraft's information.

Before opening it we check the aircraft identity — its registration, its serial number and its model — against the civil register of the authority that registered it, so that every memory belongs to the exact aircraft that lived it. When that work reaches this record, the register will open here.
