Bombardier CRJ700 (CL-600-2C10) in Mirabel. Operates for SkyWest Airlines. Previously flew for Atlantic Southeast Airlines and ExpressJet.

Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
The COVID-19 pandemic brought much of world aviation to a halt in 2020: as demand collapsed, thousands of aircraft sat parked for weeks or months. The extent and the dates varied a great deal from country to country and from airline to airline. This record is based on evidence FOR THIS AIRCRAFT (documented parking and gaps in its flight logbook). Source: SkyWest Airlines.

Incident at Hibbing, Minnesota
On November 23, 2025, the Bombardier Inc Cl-600-2C11 aircraft (registration N707EV), operated by SkyWest Airlines, was involved in an incident at Hibbing, Minnesota (United States) due to a flight control anomaly. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 23 November 2025, at about 09:50 Central time, SkyWest Airlines flight 4229 — a CRJ550 (MHIRJ CL-600-2C11), registration N707EV, arriving from Minneapolis-St. Paul (KMSP) — suffered a restriction of nose-up pitch control during the flare on landing at Hibbing (KHIB), Minnesota. Despite the fault, it touched down and taxied to the gate without further incident; nobody was hurt and the aircraft was undamaged. Maintenance found the elevator autopilot servo control cable broken, its loose end having wound around the servo mount and jammed the pitch control. The cable, carbon steel of 7x7 construction, fractured about 36 cm from the mount; the strands near the break were worn, with cyclic fatigue marks. It had 44,643 hours and 33,624 cycles, and had not been replaced since 2020; its last inspection dated from 2016. An identical cable broke on another of the company's CRJ700s in January 2026.
