Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Incident at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
On June 21, 2022, the Boeing 737-9 aircraft (registration N37513), operated by United Airlines, was involved in an incident at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (United States) due to a go-around on approach. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
United Airlines flight 2627 landed on the wrong runway at Pittsburgh airport: cleared for 28C, it lined up and touched down on the parallel 28L, some 1,200 feet to the left. The first officer had programmed the RNAV approach to 28C, but during the descent ATC changed the runway twice, finally clearing a visual approach to 28C. Both runways had PAPI glidepath indicators on their left; the captain saw a single set of lights and took it for 28C's. On asking to extend the approach centreline, both flight management computer (FMC) displays went blank in a double reset at around 4,000 feet, depriving the crew of backup lateral guidance at a critical stage. The controller confirmed 28C by radio, but then saw the aircraft lined up with 28L; with no conflicting traffic, he chose to let it land rather than order a go-around at low altitude. Airworthiness directive
On January 6, 2024, the Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft (registration N37513), was subject to an airworthiness directive due to the absence of the four bolts securing the mid-cabin door plug, which departed the aircraft in flight (a manufacturing process failure). Source: la FAA.
