Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
The COVID-19 pandemic brought much of world aviation to a halt in 2020: as demand collapsed, thousands of aircraft sat parked for weeks or months. The extent and the dates varied a great deal from country to country and from airline to airline. This record is based on evidence FOR THIS AIRCRAFT (documented parking and gaps in its flight logbook). Source: BTS (United States Department of Transportation).

Accident at Las Vegas, Nevada
On July 2, 2025, the Boeing 737-924Er aircraft (registration N66831), operated by United Airlines, was involved in an accident at Las Vegas, Nevada (United States). Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
United Airlines flight 2136, arriving from Washington Dulles, struck its tail on the runway while landing at Harry Reid airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, with serious damage to the lower rear fuselage. The first officer was flying and disconnected the autopilot and autothrottle at around 1,600 feet. The recorder showed that, some 4 seconds before the first touchdown, the column moved nose-up and pitch rose to 7 degrees as the main gear touched; it was then pushed forward, the aircraft became slightly airborne again and, on re-contact, the column was pulled back to a maximum pitch of 8.2 degrees, with 2.4 g of vertical acceleration on the second touchdown. Both pilots felt that second contact and the captain took control to clear the runway. The inspection found damage to the tail skid and to the primary lower structure of the rear fuselage, which required several components to be replaced. Source: the NTSB (United States).
