Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 26 December 2015, at about 12:38 Pacific time, Southwest Airlines flight 5895 — a Boeing 737-700, registration N7733B — met moderate turbulence while descending to approach San Diego (KSAN), arriving from Denver (KDEN). Of the 148 occupants, one flight attendant was seriously injured; the aircraft was undamaged. The turbulence came while passing about 14,000 feet, with the seatbelt sign on. All three flight attendants were standing in the aft galley, about to secure the cabin; when the jolts began, all three tried to hold on, but one could not reach the handhold and fell to the floor, unable to get up on her own. Once on the ground she was taken to hospital, where she was diagnosed with a fractured ankle. Source: the NTSB (United States).
