Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
The COVID-19 pandemic brought much of world aviation to a halt in 2020: as demand collapsed, thousands of aircraft sat parked for weeks or months. The extent and the dates varied a great deal from country to country and from airline to airline. This record is based on evidence FOR THIS AIRCRAFT (documented parking and gaps in its flight logbook). Source: BTS (United States Department of Transportation).

What happened
On 5 October 2024, at about 15:10 Pacific time, Frontier Airlines flight 1326, an Airbus A321-211 (registration N701FR) arriving from San Diego (SAN), suffered a brake fire while landing on runway 26L at Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas (LAS). Shortly before, in cruise at flight level 290, the crew had detected a chemical smell that grew stronger until it resembled burnt rubber and plastics; the pilots donned oxygen masks and ran the smoke/fumes checklist, without ever seeing smoke. At 14:51 they declared an emergency and requested a descent into LAS, while some systems degraded, including the autopilot and autothrust. After landing, the fire affected only the gear, wheels, tyres and brakes, with no structural damage, and the 7 crew and 190 passengers were unhurt. Source: the NTSB (United States).
