Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 28 March 2025, at about 15:16 Eastern time, a loss of separation occurred some 0.6 miles (close to 1 km) south of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) between DRAGO61 — a formation of four United States Air Force Northrop T-38 jets heading for a commemorative flypast over Arlington National Cemetery — and Delta Air Lines flight 2983, an Airbus A319-114 (registration N342NB) departing DCA. Neither aircraft was damaged and there were no injuries. Visual conditions prevailed, with a southerly wind at 6 knots and 10 miles (16 km) visibility. The military flypast was being coordinated between DCA tower and Potomac TRACON approach when the traffic conflict occurred. Source: the NTSB (United States).
