Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 9 July 2020, at about 15:00 Central time, Envoy Airlines flight 3880, an Embraer 175 (N226NN), flew through turbulence on the descent into Chicago-O'Hare (KORD), arriving from El Paso. One flight attendant was seriously injured and another suffered minor injuries; the aircraft was undamaged. The pilots had warned the cabin crew twice on seeing cumulus, the last time about 60 seconds earlier. Passing about 12,500 feet, the aircraft suffered two abrupt moderate jolts while both were collecting rubbish and doing their checks. The first threw them into the air and onto the floor; seconds later, the second threw one of them almost to the ceiling and then against an armrest, with an injury to the left arm that forced her to stay on the floor for the rest of the flight. An emergency was declared and vectors were requested to land; at the hospital she was diagnosed with a broken arm. Source: the NTSB (United States).
