Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
The COVID-19 pandemic brought much of world aviation to a halt in 2020: as demand collapsed, thousands of aircraft sat parked for weeks or months. The extent and the dates varied a great deal from country to country and from airline to airline. This record is based on evidence FOR THIS AIRCRAFT (documented parking and gaps in its flight logbook). Source: BTS (United States Department of Transportation).

Accident at Chicago, Illinois
On June 1, 2023, the Boeing 737-924Er aircraft (registration N28457), operated by United Airlines, was involved in an accident at Chicago, Illinois (United States), leaving 1 injured. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 1 June 2023, a flight attendant was seriously injured when United Airlines flight 1734, arriving from San Francisco, met convective turbulence during the descent into O'Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois. There were no turbulence reports and the radar showed only cells west of the airport, none on their route. With the seatbelt sign on, at around 13,000 feet they told the cabin to sit down. While descending through a cloud layer, they saw a small formation slightly higher than their level and turned left to avoid it, but clipped its outer edge at about 12,100 feet and met some 5 seconds of light to near-moderate turbulence. A flight attendant in the aft galley fell, twisted her ankle and struck her back against the seat; a doctor on board attended to her. She was diagnosed with a metatarsal fracture in the left foot.
