Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
The COVID-19 pandemic brought much of world aviation to a halt in 2020: as demand collapsed, thousands of aircraft sat parked for weeks or months. The extent and the dates varied a great deal from country to country and from airline to airline. This record is based on evidence FOR THIS AIRCRAFT (documented parking and gaps in its flight logbook). Source: BTS (United States Department of Transportation).

Accident at Fort Myers, Florida
On June 15, 2025, the Boeing 737-924Er aircraft (registration N28478), operated by United Airlines, was involved in an accident at Fort Myers, Florida (United States), leaving 3 injured. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
United Airlines flight 2857, from Houston (IAH) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), met unforecast turbulence during the descent: two flight attendants were seriously injured and one suffered minor injuries, with no passengers hurt. The captain had briefed the cabin on turbulence mitigation before departure; the flight left about two hours late because of thunderstorms and apron closures at Houston. Neither air traffic control nor the on-board radar showed significant activity. Descending through flight level 250, the captain saw green and yellow returns forming just ahead and, before he could request a deviation, the aircraft suffered a sudden, brief moderate jolt of 3 to 5 seconds. A flight attendant in the aft galley fell onto her left foot; another, securing the aft lavatory, twisted her left ankle; and a third was thrown against door 1L. Two doctors on board attended to them. Source: the NTSB (United States).
