Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident at Honolulu, Hawaii
On July 2, 2021, the Boeing 737-275C aircraft (registration N810TA), operated by Rhoades Aviation, was involved in an accident at Honolulu, Hawaii (United States), leaving 2 injured. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
Transair flight 810, a freighter operated under Part 121, suffered a partial loss of power in the right engine shortly after take-off and ditched in the Pacific Ocean about 11.5 minutes later. According to the recorders, after rotation a dull bang and a low-frequency vibration were heard; passing about 390 feet at 155 knots, the No. 2 (right) engine's pressure ratio fell and the aircraft yawed right, a yaw the first officer corrected with left rudder. Both pilots correctly identified that the right engine had lost thrust within five seconds. However, after levelling towards 2,000 feet, the first officer reduced the thrust of both engines to near flight idle — including the left, which was still running — and the speed fell from about 250 to 210 knots. The captain, busy declaring the emergency to ATC («we've lost an engine»), did not notice those changes. Source: the NTSB (United States).
