Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident at New Orleans, Louisiana
On January 10, 2020, the Airbus A320 aircraft (registration N1902U), operated by United Airlines, was involved in an accident at New Orleans, Louisiana (United States), leaving 1 injured. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 10 January 2020, at about 22:45 UTC, United Airlines flight 1754, an Airbus A320 (N1902U), met turbulence near the top of climb after taking off from New Orleans (KMSY) for Newark (KEWR). Of the 159 occupants, one flight attendant was seriously injured; the aircraft was undamaged. With the seatbelt sign on for possible light turbulence, they were climbing towards flight level 370 when, passing about 30,500 feet, they saw they would not stay above the cloud and requested a deviation to the right. In the turn, the captain announced over the public address system that the cabin crew should take their jumpseats and the aircraft gave «a couple of bumps». Almost immediately the cabin reported that the lead flight attendant had been hurt: she was walking through preferred class and fell to the floor. She was taken to hospital with a fractured ankle. The area held general thunderstorms, with cloud tops as high as level 400 less than 16 km away. Source: the NTSB (United States).

Parked due to COVID-19

What happened
The COVID-19 pandemic brought much of world aviation to a halt in 2020: as demand collapsed, thousands of aircraft sat parked for weeks or months. The extent and the dates varied a great deal from country to country and from airline to airline. This record is based on evidence FOR THIS AIRCRAFT (documented parking and gaps in its flight logbook). Source: BTS (United States Department of Transportation).

Accident at Houston, Texas
On March 22, 2023, the Airbus A320-232 aircraft (registration N1902U), operated by United Airlines, was involved in an accident at Houston, Texas (United States). Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 22 March 2023, United flight 1091 (Airbus A320, Mexico City to Houston) suffered a tail strike while landing at Houston-Intercontinental. On a stabilised approach, at about 18 m the airspeed began to decay; the first officer lowered the nose and added thrust, and faced with a high rate of descent the captain called for the flare. Touchdown was firm and, on the bounce, the deployment of the spoilers produced a nose-up attitude; both pilots pushed their sidesticks, but the attitude increased until the tail struck the runway. The impact left an abrasion some 5.8 m long on the lower aft fuselage and structural damage to the pressure bulkhead. Source: the NTSB (United States).
