Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 30 October 2025, at 17:48 UTC, JetBlue Airways flight 1230, an Airbus A320 (N605JB), suffered a pitch excursion while in cruise at 35,000 feet in smooth air and clear skies over the Gulf of Mexico, with an altitude loss of about 100 feet. The crew chose to divert to Tampa (KTPA) and the rest of the flight, arriving from Cancún (MMUN) bound for Newark (KEWR), was uneventful; four cabin crew and 18 passengers suffered minor injuries. A preliminary Airbus assessment identified a possible deficiency in the software design of the elevator and aileron computers (ELAC) as a contributing factor, which led to an alert bulletin to operators and to emergency airworthiness directives from EASA and the FAA on 28 November 2025.
