At 2:45 in the morning, after nearly twenty hours in the air on a Paris–Saigon raid, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and his mechanic André Prévot strike a plateau in the Libyan desert. They survived the impact and four days of thirst until a Bedouin found them. Out of those nights in the sand would come Wind, Sand and Stars and The Little Prince.
