Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Incident at Pullman, Washington
On December 29, 2017, the Bombardier Inc Dhc 8 402 aircraft (registration N412QX), operated by Horizon Air, was involved in an incident at Pullman, Washington (United States) due to a taxiway excursion. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
Horizon Air flight 2184 landed by mistake on a taxiway parallel to runway 6 at Pullman/Moscow Regional Airport, Washington, a field with no control tower. The runway lights were not working — the cable pits had flooded from heavy rain and snow — and there was no NOTAM warning of it; the parallel taxiway lights, by contrast, were on. About 7 km from the threshold, having called the runway in sight, the captain disconnected the autopilot; he looked down to check the gear and, on looking up, saw only blackness until he made out a lit pavement, and slipped the aircraft to line up with it believing it was the runway. The taxiway and the runway are barely 60 metres apart, so a small correction was enough to end up over the wrong surface. The crew realised they were over the taxiway only in the flare, on touching the pavement. Source: the NTSB (United States).
