Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
A 44-year-old first officer travelling as an off-duty passenger suffered a heart attack during this Boeing 757's flight from Bangkok to Moscow. The captain began an emergency descent towards Chengdu, but the man died during the descent; the crew then decided to continue and land at Novosibirsk. The aircraft suffered no damage at all. The international aviation body classes this kind of occurrence as a medical emergency, not as an accident.
