Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 30 March 2011, a cargo aircraft took off on a positioning flight — with no cargo on board — with the cargo compartment empty except for a pallet jack that had been left untied. During the flight, the pallet jack shifted and damaged a structural fuselage frame. The crew stated that both pilots had inspected the cargo compartment before departure, but that they had not checked whether the pallet jack was properly secured. Source: the NTSB (United States).
