Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident at Chicago, Illinois
On February 1, 2025, the Bombardier Inc Cl-600-2B19 aircraft (registration N420AW), operated by Air Wisconsin, was involved in an accident at Chicago, Illinois (United States) due to being struck by a ground vehicle or a piece of ground equipment. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 1 February 2025, at O'Hare, Chicago, at night in visual conditions, the left wing of Air Wisconsin flight 6181, a CRJ-200, collided while taxiing with a tug, whose driver was seriously injured; none of the aircraft's occupants was hurt. After landing, the aircraft was taxiing south on taxiway A. The captain saw the tug crossing on taxiway B and thought it was braking; having turned his attention briefly to the doors, on looking back he saw the imminent collision and braked, but the impact followed at once. The driver reported that he had stopped at the «stop» sign, waited for an aircraft taxiing on taxiway B to pass and looked both ways, but the wing of flight 6181, approaching on taxiway A, was not visible until the last moment; he added that the aircraft did not have its nose gear light on. The tug tipped over and trapped the driver. The inspection revealed considerable damage to the front spar of the left wing leading edge. Source: the NTSB (United States).
