Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Incident at Dayton, Ohio
On October 5, 2022, the Bombardier Inc Cl-600-2B19 aircraft (registration N447AW), operated by Air Wisconsin, was involved in an incident at Dayton, Ohio (United States) due to a runway excursion. Source: the NTSB (United States).
What happened
On 5 October 2022, after a normal touchdown, the aircraft used speedbrakes, reverse and wheel braking to decelerate and tracked the runway centreline for about 9 seconds. One or two seconds before stowing the reversers, it began a continuous turn to the right. The crew applied two brief left rudder inputs (4° to 5°) and more braking on the left wheels than the right, but the aircraft kept turning right, ran off the runway onto the grass and stopped on an adjacent taxiway, with minor damage to the left wingtip and a puncture in that wing's leading edge. The investigation could not determine the cause. Reverse was asymmetric (the right engine reached 12% more thrust), which induces a right turn, but it was brief and routine and does not explain a sustained turn, especially since it persisted after the reversers were stowed; the crosswind, at barely 3 knots, was insignificant. Greater and sustained left rudder would have steered the nose wheel more and better countered the turn. Source: the NTSB (United States).
