Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 21 October 2015, according to the company report, once the rest of the passengers had boarded, the gate agents proceeded to board a quadriplegic passenger who needed assistance and an aisle chair to reach his seat. They secured him to that chair with its belt and additional straps across the chest while they moved him on board. On removing the straps to transfer him from the aisle chair to the aircraft seat, the passenger slid to the floor, and the agents lifted him into the seat. After the agents had left the aircraft and the jet bridge had been withdrawn, a flight attendant noticed that the passenger appeared to be injured and the crew called for medical assistance. He was taken to hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fracture of the right tibia. Source: the NTSB (United States).
