Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 4 December 2010, a regional aircraft was waiting to be marshalled to its gate when a Boeing 747 taxied behind it. During that manoeuvre, the 747's right winglet struck the regional aircraft's horizontal stabiliser and caused significant damage. The 747's first officer believed he had enough room to pass the regional aircraft while taxiing. He stated that it was the first time he had operated a departure from that airport.
