Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Grounded by the airspace closure
On February 28, 2026, the 350 941 aircraft (registration A6-EXQ), operated by Emirates, was in the news. Source: Emirates.
What happened
In late February 2026, a sharp escalation of the war between Iran, Israel and the United States — with strikes on facilities inside Iranian territory and Iranian missile retaliation towards the Persian Gulf — led to the simultaneous closure of the airspace of at least eight countries on 28 February (Iran, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates). The main Gulf airlines suspended or diverted their flights for several days — about 24% of Middle East operations were cancelled that day — and the restrictions were not fully lifted in the Emirates until 3 May 2026. Incident 85 km northeast of Ceduna
On October 12, 2026, the Airbus A350-941 aircraft (registration A6-EXQ), operated by Emirates, was involved in an incident 85 km northeast of Ceduna (Australia) due to an engine shutdown. Source: Emirates.
What happened
Flight EK441 from Adelaide to Dubai was crossing the north-west of South Australia at 32,000 feet when, at around 23:30 local time, the crew shut down the left engine and descended gradually to 24,000 feet. The A350 continued on course for about 50 minutes and, shortly before leaving the state, turned back towards Adelaide, where it landed at around 02:00, during the airport’s night curfew, after 3 hours and 22 minutes in the air. Fire crews were waiting on the ground.

Registration A6-EXQ

Memories coming soon

The register of memories is not open on this aircraft yet. We are enabling it gradually, record by record, as we consolidate each aircraft's information.

Before opening it we check the aircraft identity — its registration, its serial number and its model — against the civil register of the authority that registered it, so that every memory belongs to the exact aircraft that lived it. When that work reaches this record, the register will open here.
