Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Incident at Budapest
On June 18, 2008, the Airbus A321-211 aircraft (registration VT-PPI), operated by Air India, was involved in an incident at Budapest (Hungary), leaving 1 dead. Source: Air India.
What happened
This A321 was brand new and was flying its delivery route from the Hamburg factory to Delhi, with a stop at Sharjah, when an off-duty first officer suffered an incapacitation — apparently a heart attack — over Romanian airspace. The flight diverted to Budapest, but the crew member died. The aircraft had no mishap: it was its first journey and it went on with its career normally. It is noted here because there was a death on board, not because anything happened to the aircraft.
