Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

On July 28, 2010, the A321-231 aircraft (registration AP-BJB), operated by AirBlue, was involved in a fatal accident at Margalla Hills, Islamabad (Pakistan), leaving 152 dead. Source: AirBlue.
What happened
In monsoon rain and low cloud, the A321 arriving from Karachi was flying the circling visual approach to Islamabad. The captain, who had belittled the first officer throughout the flight, strayed outside the published circuit, ignored the terrain warnings and struck the hills north of the city. All 152 people on board died. It is the worst air accident in Pakistan.
