Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

What happened
On 15 April 2025, at about 21:40 Atlantic local time, Frontier Airlines flight 3506, an Airbus A321-271NX (N607FR), suffered damage to the nose wheel and an engine during an attempted night landing at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU), San Juan, Puerto Rico; the 235 occupants were unhurt. It was arriving from Orlando (MCO) with the first officer flying. The flare began normally but ended up high and, as the aircraft was about to touch down, the captain called a go-around and took control on noticing that flying speed was running out; with thrust at TOGA and a slightly nose-down attitude, the aircraft touched down hard. During the manoeuvre a loud bang was heard beneath the fuselage and the ECAM indicated an engine failure; metal and tyre debris was found on the runway. Source: the NTSB (United States).
