Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident at Mulhouse-Habsheim
On June 26, 1988, the Airbus A320-111 aircraft (registration F-GFKC), operated by Air France, was involved in a fatal accident at Mulhouse-Habsheim (France) due to a very low pass during an air show, leaving 3 dead. Source: the BEA (France).
What happened
Demonstration flight with 130 passengers and 6 crew at the Mulhouse flying club air show; the A320 had been delivered to Air France a few days earlier. The aircraft made a very low, slow pass with the landing gear down and the engines at idle; power was applied late, the aircraft could not climb away and struck trees beyond the end of the runway, and the ensuing fire destroyed it. Three passengers died. The BEA attributed the accident to a combination of a very low flyover height, below that of the surrounding obstacles, a very low speed with the engines at idle, and the late application of power.
