Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident at Brussels
On May 5, 2006, the Airbus A320-211 aircraft (registration EK-32010), operated by Armavia, was involved in an accident at Brussels (Belgium) due to a fire in the maintenance hangar. Source: Armavia.
What happened
The aircraft was undergoing maintenance in Sabena Technics' Hangar 40 at Brussels Airport when, shortly after midnight on the night of 4 to 5 May 2006, a fire broke out that eventually brought the hangar down. According to Sabena Technics, all four aircraft inside were destroyed: this Armavia A320, another A320 of Armenian International Airways (EK-32001), a Hellas Jet A320 leased to Volare (SX-BVB) and a Belgian Air Force C-130 (CH-02). Nobody was on board; four people on the ground were injured, one of them seriously. No official finding on the origin of the fire has been located.
