Vuelopedia is a work in progress: it currently holds about 30% of the information we expect to have by the third quarter of 2027. Although we use only official, highly reliable sources, some aircraft data and history may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We work hard to clear every anomaly from the records using specialized verification tools.

Accident near Greenacres, Florida
On November 1, 2026, the Learjet 60 aircraft (registration N722BD), operated by LR60271 LLC, was involved in a fatal accident near Greenacres, Florida (United States) due to a sudden descent from cruise altitude, leaving 9 dead. Source: the FAA (United States).
What happened
The Learjet 60 was flying from Austin (Texas) to North Eleuthera (Bahamas) with nine people on board when it crashed, at around 12:50 local time, beside Military Trail, between Greenacres and Palm Springs (Palm Beach County), in an area of mobile homes. All nine occupants died; the authorities reported no casualties on the ground and some 600 residents were relocated. According to tracking data, it was cruising at 41,000 feet, descended to about 35,000 and, after a brief climb, entered a turning descent: in little more than a minute it went from 35,250 to 8,750 feet, according to the FAA. Earlier the crew had reported icing and moderate turbulence, and during the descent they declared an emergency (mayday). There were thunderstorms in the area, with a convective SIGMET in effect, but no authority has said whether they played a part. The NTSB is leading the investigation, supported by the FAA.
